SAPELE/Nigeria: Senator Ede Dafinone, representing Delta Central Senatorial District, has congratulated Chief Solomon Val Arenyeka on his election as Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Delta State, urging the newly constituted State Working Committee (SWC) to consolidate party unity and strengthen grassroots structures ahead of critical political engagements.

In a statement issued on March 3, 2026, Senator Dafinone described the successful conduct of the State Congress and the emergence of the new executive as a reflection of the party’s democratic culture and growing internal cohesion.

“The orderly, peaceful and transparent process that produced this leadership is a strong affirmation of our party’s democratic credentials and the growing cohesion within our ranks in Delta State,” he stated.

The lawmaker said the emergence of Arenyeka and members of the SWC represents a clear vote of confidence from party faithful and a solemn mandate to provide purposeful, courageous and unifying leadership at a pivotal moment in the party’s political trajectory.

According to him, expectations are high among members and supporters of the APC, adding that the new leadership must prioritise the consolidation of internal democracy, strengthening of party structures across the 25 local government areas and the entrenchment of discipline, accountability and collective responsibility.

“As we approach critical political engagements ahead, unity must remain our uncompromising watchword,” Dafinone advised. “I urge you to foster reconciliation where necessary, harmonise diverse interests and build a formidable, grassroots-driven platform that positions the APC as the credible and dominant alternative in Delta State.”

He emphasised that the task before the new leadership demands strategic mobilisation, effective communication and unwavering commitment to the ideals of progressive governance.

Senator Dafinone reiterated his readiness to work closely with the State Working Committee in advancing the vision of the APC and delivering sustainable development and inclusive prosperity to the people of Delta State.
