
ASABA/Nigeria: The Delta State Commissioner for Special Duties (Government House), Dr. Ifeanyi Michael Osuoza, has congratulated Professor Samuel Ovuete Aghalino and Professor Eric Chiedum Eboh on their appointments as substantive Vice Chancellors of Dennis Osadebay University, Asaba, and the University of Delta, Agbor, respectively.
In a congratulatory message, Osuoza described their emergence as a well-deserved recognition of their outstanding academic achievements, administrative competence and commitment to the advancement of higher education.
He noted that both scholars had distinguished themselves in the academic community through remarkable scholarship and leadership, expressing confidence that their appointments would further strengthen the two state-owned universities.
According to him, their vast academic and administrative experience would play a critical role in consolidating the growth and development of Dennis Osadebay University and the University of Delta as centres of excellence in teaching, research and innovation.
Osuoza said universities must continue to serve as engines of innovation, critical inquiry and societal development, stressing that visionary leadership is required to advance research, deepen academic excellence and promote institutional growth.
“I am confident that your vast academic and administrative experience will be brought fully to bear in strengthening these two citadels of learning,” he stated.
The commissioner expressed optimism that under their leadership, both institutions would further enhance their academic reputation and contribute meaningfully to knowledge development and national progress.
He wished Professors Aghalino and Eboh wisdom, strength and success as they assume the responsibility of shaping the future of Dennis Osadebay University, Asaba, and the University of Delta, Agbor.
