Remain Peaceful, United and Law Abiding, Ochor to Ndokwa Nation

Kwale: The people of Ndokwa have been called to remain peaceful, united and law abiding at all time.

This charge was giving recently by Hon Ochor Chris Ochor, Executive Director, Social Services Development, on the board of the Delta State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission, DESOPADEC, in a congratulatory message to the New Executives of the Ndokwa Neku Union (NNU), Youth Wing, and the Women Wing during their inauguration in Kwale, Ndokwa West LGA, recently.

Hon Ochor, who was represented at the Occasion, by Mr Festus IKogwe, former Secretary to the Ukwuani Local Government council, charged the newly inaugurated leaders of the Ndokwa apex both to ensure that peace exists among the executives

“When peace exists among the leaders, there will be peace in Ndokwa and nation in general”. He said.img-20161124-wa0016

Speaking directly to the youths, he said there is no society that develops where there are insecurity, like youth crises, kidnapping, cultism, and various types of gangsterism, which is normally associated with the youths, especially when youths of any nation is the pride of the nation, and at the same time, may be ready tools for political and economic saboteurs of a nation.

“You have to guide against being used by those who find nothing good in Ndokwa, and Delta state. You must be agent of peace, unity, and adherents of the law of the land, at all time”. He said.

Stressing for a continuous peaceful co-existence of the people of Ndokwa  and the various companies in the area, especially the oil companies and protection of oil facilities, he appealed to the NNU youth leaders to build a relationship with the companies, devout of, anger, protest and fight, but dialogue employed at all time to resolve burning issues.

Hon Ochor, stating further, called on them to key into the various activities and policies, of the Delta State government, under Senator Ifeanyi Okowa, as part of the policy statement of the governor is geared towards youth developments in the state.

“At all time, you have to key into the SMART Agenda of the present government, which has through its STEP and YAGEP programmes, is focussed on youth’s entrepreneurship development. You have to, through your programmes and activities be part of these programmes”.img-20161124-wa0038

Using, the opportunity to address the Ndokwa women, he reminded the women that they have an enormous duty to perform as mothers. He urged the leadership of the women to push for the emancipation and educational development of the Girl-Child in Ndokwa, as the education of any girl child, is an asset to any nation. Reminding them that for the next few years, the focal point for the gender issue will be on them, and they cannot let the Ndokwa women and people down.

“Your job from now is enormous. The entire people of Ndokwa, especially the women, and the Girl-Child looks up to you. You cannot afford to fail. You cannot fail to attract emancipation of the average Ndokwa Girl-Child and the entire women folks of Ndokwa. And above all, as mothers, you must ensure there is peace in our land, starting from the home. He concluded.
