Tilije Bemoans Proliferation of Socio-Cultural Bodies

The Delta State Commissioner for Water Resources Development, Sir Fidelis Okenmor Tilije, gave the charge when he received the executives and members of theSocio-Cultural organizations (APA) on a courtesy visit.
Sir Tilije stated that it was high time socio-cultural organizations started becoming entrepreneurial in focus and use their time for productive endeavours, rather than turn themselves into beggarly individuals.
The commissioner bemoaned the proliferation of different socio-cultural bodies, lamenting that their activities hardly correlate with their set objectives.
He called for a united Anioma group, saying it would help to give the people of Delta North a stronger and better voice within the state and Nigeria.
Sir Tilije promised to give the needed support to facilitate the association’s planned programme billed to take place soon.
Earlier, the President-General of Anioma Peoples Association (APA), Comrade Henry Ogochukwu, said the objective of the organization was to foster unity, peace and bring prosperity and development to Anioma land.
