WARRI/Nigeria: A prominent All Progressives Congress (APC) stalwart and grassroots politician, Chief Thompson Robert-Fuoye, has commended Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, for what he described as the remarkable developmental strides recorded across the state in the last three years, saying the administration has demonstrated a strong commitment to people-centred governance.
Speaking while assessing the performance of the Oborevwori administration as it marks its third anniversary in office, Robert-Fuoye praised the governor’s leadership style and dedication to delivering the dividends of democracy to communities across Delta State.
He described Governor Oborevwori as a grassroots politician whose rise through various levels of leadership and governance has enabled him to remain closely connected to the needs and aspirations of ordinary citizens.
According to him, “Governor Sheriff Oborevwori understands the people because he grew through the system. His closeness to the grassroots is evident in the way his administration continues to focus on projects and programmes that directly impact the masses.”
The APC chieftain noted that the administration’s commitment to inclusive development is clearly reflected in the implementation of the MORE Agenda, which he said has become the driving force behind key government policies and projects across the state.
He explained that the MORE Agenda—Meaningful Development, Opportunities for All, Realistic Reforms and Enhanced Peace and Security—has continued to translate into tangible improvements in infrastructure, social services and economic opportunities for residents.
“The MORE Agenda is not just a slogan. It is visible in the ongoing investments in road infrastructure, healthcare delivery, youth empowerment, education and human capital development across Delta State,” he stated.
Robert-Fuoye further applauded the administration for promoting peace, stability and inclusive governance, noting that the governor’s developmental initiatives have continued to strengthen public confidence in government.
While commending the achievements recorded so far, he appealed for increased government presence in riverine communities, particularly within the Burutu axis, stressing that such areas deserve greater attention to accelerate development and improve living conditions.
“We are appealing for more projects and interventions in the Burutu axis. The riverine communities deserve continued attention because they are an important part of Delta State and should fully benefit from this people-oriented administration,” he said.
The APC leader also called on Deltans and residents of Burutu Federal Constituency to continue supporting Governor Oborevwori beyond 2027, arguing that sustained support would help consolidate ongoing projects and ensure continuity in governance.
According to him, “Sustained support for Governor Oborevwori will help consolidate the developmental gains already achieved, strengthen unity and ensure continuity in governance and infrastructural growth across Delta State.”
He expressed optimism that the administration’s development agenda would continue to deliver greater benefits to citizens and further position Delta State as a model of sustainable growth and progress.
