ASABA/Nigeria: Delta State Commissioner for Special Duties (Government House), Dr. Ifeanyi Michael Osuoza, has felicitated the Chairman of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Delta State Council, Comrade Churchill Oyowe, describing him as a journalist whose commitment to the profession has contributed to the growth of the union in the state.
In a birthday message, Osuoza said Oyowe had distinguished himself through dedication to duty, humility, determination and commitment to the ideals of journalism, noting that his professional disposition had earned him the respect of colleagues and associates.
The commissioner described the NUJ chairman as a man of purpose and character whose leadership, according to him, had continued to contribute to the unity and development of the Delta State Council.
Osuoza said Oyowe’s birthday offered an opportunity to recognise not only another year in his life but also his experience and contributions to the journalism community.
He commended the NUJ chairman’s dedication to his responsibilities, saying his approach to leadership and professional engagement had made a positive impression on those who work with him.
The commissioner prayed for greater accomplishments, divine favour, good health, peace of mind and new opportunities for Oyowe as he begins another year.
He also expressed hope that the NUJ chairman would continue to make meaningful contributions to journalism and attain greater milestones in the years ahead.
Osuoza wished Oyowe continued success and fulfilment, urging him to remain committed to the values and responsibilities associated with his profession.
The commissioner concluded his message by congratulating the NUJ Delta chairman and wishing him a more fruitful and rewarding chapter of his life.
Oyowe, who recently emerged as chairman of the Delta State Council of the NUJ, has in recent months led activities focused on professional development, capacity building and the welfare of journalists in the state.
