By Magnus Emuji

The need for all stakeholders to contribute modestly in taking the education system in the state to an enviable height has again been brought to the fore.

The Principal of Niger Mixed Secondary School, Asaba, Mr. Aseyeni Benjamin made the call in a chat with newsmen when the officials of the State Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education visited the school in continuation of the monitoring of the second term examination for the 2023 academic session.

Mr. Aseyeni said that the State Government had done well in improving the education sector, adding that a lot more needed to be done not only the government but parents and other well-meaning individuals in the society.

He enjoined students not to keep bad associations that could jeopardise their future, noting that the benefits of taking their academic activities seriously were quite enormous.

While stressing the need for students to shun examination malpractice in both internal and external examinations, Mr. Aseyeni stated that the menace if not checkmated, would not only impact negatively on the students but would no doubt bring the standard of education to a lower level.

Mr. Aseyeni commended the staff of the Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education for consistent monitoring of all examinations in the state.
