EKPAN/Nigeria: The Resident Pastor of the Living Faith Church, Ekpan, Pastor Chidi Uba, has called on Christians and Nigerians to engage in charity to reduce the pressure and temptation people faced daily in present day Nigeria.
Pastor Uba made the call in the church during his sermon on Sunday, adding that people were going through a lot of hardship, but were looking good because they had been smiling off the grim situation.
In his message titled, ”Redeemed for the topmost top”, the pastor stated that man was designed to win hence, there is pain when he loses.”
He went further to explain that in the state of a loser, man needed a divine presence to rise again, but many had given in to the pressures of life and that was why “we must be our brother’s keepers.”
“There is no superman; only men who have been helped by God. And when you have bounced back, strengthen the brethren,” he said.
The Pastor also called on Christians to crave for the presence of God because it was the foundation of true success and joy in life.
He concluded the sermon by listing the keys for getting to the top as believing in God, goal setting and planning, taking steps, acquiring knowledge, tithing and engaging in kingdom advancement endeavours, of which charity was the bedrock.
