Women in Nigeria had been called to help curb the rate of crime in the society, by looking more at the activities of the children who are always in their care.
Rev. Dr. (Mrs) Fidelia Oyimike, Coordinator of the Programme
The call was made by the Executive aide to the governor of Delta state on Religious Matters, Bishop Greatman Nmalagu on August 19, 2015 in Kwale, Ndokwa West LGA, Delta state, during the five days programme to mark the 7th Annual Prayer Meeting organised by the Favoured Daughters Intercessors International Incorporated in conjunction with the Ndokwa Christian Women Intercessors.
The bishop who making reference to the book of Prov. 22.6, reminded the women of their importance in God’s creation, as no child comes into the world without the woman, and in the process of upbringing, the children are always with the mothers.
Praising the virtues of women, he said that they are very important in every aspect of good living on earth, as God saw and, by His Devine act decided to create the woman.

He reminded the women that it is obvious that they are always with the children, and they “should always use their office as mothers to ensure that the crimes in the society are controlled, because they are the first and last teachers of the children, and are always with them at home”.
He concluded by telling the women, that as mothers who are occupying the office of a house wife, as a teacher, or any office in the society, they should use it to ensure that the different vices in the society involving children are curbed.
The General Coordinator of the event, Rev. Dr (Mrs) Fidelia Oyemike, while congratulating Bishop Greatman Nmalagu on his new appointment, as the Executive Assistant on Religious Matters, asked him to ensure that he seeks the wisdom of God so that all he does will be based on the will of God.
Earlier in her welcome address, the coordinator, making reference to the theme of the Conference, “Divine Manifestation of God’s Glory”, had asked the women to rise and deliver their families and communities just like Esther did in the case of the Jews in the Old Testament of the Bible.
The occasion which was well attended by women in Ndokwa Land hosted many men of God from within and outside the state, among whom are Bishop (Dr.) Jerry Gbakara of Fire Chapel International, Port Harcourt, Rev V.I.C Okoh, the president of the Anioma Bishops Association.
