Cleric Urges Christians On Regular Prayer For Security Operatives

By Christian Ogoh

AGBOR/Nigeria: The Resident Pastor of Living Faith Church (aka Winners’ Chapel), Agbor, Pastor Paul Olubo, has called on Christians to pray for security operatives in the country.

Pastor Olubo made this during one of the church’s services recently in Boji-Boji Owa, in Ika North East Local Government Area of Delta State.

He explained that it was the responsibility of all to pray for security agencies day and night.

“We must stop all the castigation and rubbish. They are our brothers and sisters and there are faithful people among them who are working for the good of the nation.

“It could have been worse without their efforts. Do know what it means to fight unknown and faceless enemies. Instead, let us pray that God will give them wisdom in the discharge of their perilous duties,” he stated.

While saying that the battle against insurgency and insecurity was not insurmountable, he urged Christians not to relent on the altar of fervent and persistent intercession for the rescue of the soul of Nigeria.

“Our roads are no longer safe, what about the railroad. Travelling in the air is very expressive, almost every sector is seriously challenged. So this is not the time to condemn or rubbish any person but a period of sober reflection.

“It is time to take positive steps and change our approach so that we can escape the reproaches engulfing this nation,” he added.

The clergyman, however, urged the government to come up with better ways of managing security in the country.
