Ejakpovi Lauds Constitution Of DESOHETCH Council … Says Members Are Tested Technocrats

ASABA/Nigeria: The immediate past Chairman of the Governing Council, Delta State School of Health Technology (DESOHETCH), Dr. (Pharm.) Nelson Ejakpovi has  said, Governor Ifeanyi Okowa made the right choice in the constitution of the Governing Council of the health institution.

Speaking at the inauguration of the Council on Tuesday (24/09/19) in Asaba, Dr. Ejakpovi observed that the choice of Dr Chris Oharisi and Hon. Sunny Tataobuzogu as Chairman and member of the Council was a strong proof that Governor Okowa believes in experience.

“We just witnessed the inauguration of the Governing Council of School of Health Technology, a place I have served as Chairman of the Governing Council for three times, so, you will understand what it means, when I thank our Governor for making the right choice.

“The present Chairman, Dr Oharisi and a member of the Council, Hon. Tataobuzogu were with me in the last dispensation; so, they understands the policy trust of government as it regards the school and will pursue our vision for the school; I also, congratulate Mrs Osuobini Ebikabo-Ere for coming on board as member of the Council. “

“I commend our Governor for his foresight and thank God for giving him the wisdom to do it right for Deltans,” Dr Ejakpovi said.

Asked if he has regrets for not going back to the institution which has the responsibility of producing middle man-power for the health sector, he said, “regret?  With this appointment, there is no vacuum, so, there is no regret, it means that the school is in good hands.

“Apart from being a Pharmacist,  I am a politician and I cannot continue to remain as Chairman, Governing Council of the institution; I was the pioneer Chairman more than a decade ago, so, others should also, hold the position, that is growth and progress.

“I am confident that our Governor made the right choice and we pray that God will help them.”
