AGBOR/Nigeria: The Deputy Speaker, Delta State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon Christopher Ochor Ochor, has condole with the Family of Late Prince Sam Obi.
The Deputy Speaker, in company of member representing Ndokwa West Constituency, in the State House of Assembly, Hon Charles Emetulu He was at the family home in Agbor, Ika North East Local Government Area, Tuesday, April 06, 2021.
He stated that the Late Sam Obi was a gentleman, will be missed by many, do to his humane and fatherly nature.
The Deputy Speaker stated that he was a man of peace, and God fearing, and one of the loyal chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.
He pointed out that one of the best time of the Late Sam Obi, was during the conduct of another election that brought back Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan as the state Governor, as the party defeated the opposition candidate.
He further stated that, during the short time he acted as the Acting Governor of the state, he did not allow the expected less than hundred days to affected his brief rule, as he focused on governance, and executed some projects, which were solidly carried out.
He pointed out that he is saddened with the sudden demise of the former Acting Governor, who was so passionate about the party, and those around him.
“On behalf of my Family, staff and Political Associates, I commiserate with the family. I pray God to give him eternal rest.”
The late Sam Obi represented the Ika North East State Constituency in the Delta State House of Assembly for three terms 2003-2015.
