CWO Urged To Sustain Founding Members Ideals

ONITCHA-UBO/Nigeria: Patrons, patroness, and the executive members of the National Conference of Onicha Ugbo, Catholic Women Organization (CWO) have been urged to remain steadfast in sustaining the ideals of the founding members of the organization.

Sir Valentine Okwuchi gave the call during his opening speech at the 29th annual National conference of the organization, held at All Saint Catholic Church, Onicha Ugbo in Aniocha North Local Government Area of Delta state.

Sir, Okwuchi who was a retired permanent secretary in the Delta State Civil Service, and the chairman of the occasion, admonished everyone to support the organization in whatever capacity they could to enable it realize the noble intentions for the progress and development of the parish.

He noted that with the unveiling of a Toyota Sienna Bus acquired by the organization, it would further help in facilitating the activities of the parish.

Earlier, in her welcome address, the President of the organization, Lady Theresa Molokwu said: “As part of our annual event this year, we have opted to honour some of our distinguished sons and daughters who have one way or the other made meaningful contributions to the growth of our organization and the church at large.”

She used the occasion to appreciate the support of the parish priest, Rev, Fr. Peter Mobuogwu through his prayers and also the members of her executive.

In his Remark, the parish priest Fr Mobuogwu, congratulated the organization on its unity of purpose and enjoined members not to relent in their commitment in propagating the work of God wherever they may be.

While reminding them that everyone must give account of his or her work at the appointed time, h admonished them to always recognise hard-working individuals.

The highpoint of the occasion was the unveiling of the Sienna Bus.
