ASABA/Nigeria: The Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Dennis Emomotimi Guwor, has expressed profound sorrow over the sudden death of Hon. Talib Tebite, a former member of the House.
Hon. Tebite, who passed away recently, was remembered by Rt. Hon. Guwor as a “jolly good fellow” and a trusted ally, known for his extensive network of friendships across nations.
In a statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr. Nkem Nwaeke, the Speaker described Tebite’s passing as a significant loss to both the state and the legislative community.
“His benevolence and commitment to the welfare of others will be greatly missed,” Guwor said. He emphasized that Tebite’s contributions were instrumental during his tenure representing Ughelli South in the 4th and 5th Assemblies.
Guwor highlighted Tebite’s dedication to public service, noting that his appointment as Executive Director of Projects at DESOPADEC was a testament to his hard work and commitment. “Hon. Tebite’s passion for service was evident in all he did,” Guwor remarked, underscoring the former lawmaker’s lasting impact on the state’s development.
Offering his condolences, Guwor added, “I am deeply saddened by the passing of my friend and former colleague, Hon. Talib Tebite.
