Mr Ossai Ovie Success, Special Assistant, Special Duties on Political Matters
The Special Assistant to the Delta state Governor, Senator (Dr) Ifeanyi Okowa on Political Matters (Special Duties), Mr Ossai Ovie Success has said that the suspended workers in the Delta state Civil Service will soon smile, as there is already plan to recall them back to work.
According to Mr Ossai, who spoke to newsmen recently at the government House, said the issue of the suspended workers should not be politicized by people in the state, because the complain that trailed the employment excise led to the suspension of the workers pending when the process is investigated and rectified.
The SA denounced the rumour going round that the governor, Senator (Dr) Ifeanyi Okowa sacked some workers of the state civil service, he called the assumption a lie, and an incorrect situation of the situation on ground.
According to Mr Ossai, the government is only trying to do the needful to ensure that the right persons are engaged to work for the state, and this in anyway should not be politicised.
In the word of the SA to the governor, “Those affected should not be afraid as the investigation is almost complete, and they will soon go back to work”. He said.
Continuing, the SA stated, that “This government is not the type of government that will want to take away jobs from Deltans, but rather, a government that is concerned with the welfare of all Deltans”.
Mr Ossai also used the opportunity to remind Deltans of the promise the governor made to Deltans that he will be just and fair in his dealings, and since the government has one of his agendas as peaceful co-existence, the government will not be involved with anything that will cause any form of disharmony, and one of the areas to do this is to provide jobs for Deltans, especially for the youths who, when engaged will avoid violence and other forms of crime.
