EFFURUN/Nigeria: Some officials of the Delta State Traffic Management Agency (DESTMA) have allegedly caused an accident on the Refinery Road, Effurun in Uvwie Local Government Area during the last monthly environmental sanitation exercise in the state.
The accident, it was gathered occured at about 8:30am on the fateful day.
They were said to be in a commercial tricycle (keke) that allegedly caused the accident involving another keke and a jeep.
The other keke was badly damaged unlike the keke boarded by the DESTMA officials.
There was no loss of life; however, an aged woman in the other keke was said to have sustained serious injuries and had received medical attention in a private hospital at Ekpan in the locality.
Meanwhile, the DESTMA officials were reported to have run away from the scene of the accident with impunity.
