Don’t drag the name of our editor to Yabatech Rectors’ Petition-Afrikanwatch

LAGOS/Nigeria: The Management and Staff of Afrikanwatch Communication have in a press statement reacted to a publication linking the editor, Mark C. Orgu to recent publication which attacked the management of the Yaba College of Technology, Lagos.

In the statement, which was signed by Mr Sunday Atam, the Afrikanwatch Communication, denounced the unprofessional publication, and called it a paid and an arranged news publication.

“It has come to our notice that some unprofessional and untrained journalists who only survive by propaganda is dragging the name of our editor, Mark C. Orgu to the paid and arranged news published in some online news- alleging denial of some persons who applied for the position of the Rector, Yaba College of Technology, Yaba, Lagos”.

“We state categorically that our editor is a trained journalist and professional who has made his mark on the sands of time, and will not, and will never involve in tarnishing or arranged news to the detriment of others”. Who so ever that has mentioned the name of our editor privately as a co-publisher of the news waving around that some  Council board  members’ of the college has compromised the process of selection in the Rectorship race”.

“It is therefore very ridiculous for some disgruntle elements in the college to call our editor, ‘’Charles Oni’s boy’’ who will have hands in the publication.  In strong terms, Afrikanwatch condemns it and demand an apology from those hired journalists who have lost sense of reasoning with poverty mentality. They are nothing but cowards and fool forever”.

“We therefore debunk such useless and manner less approach on those who have sold off their integrity in the journalistic profession”.
