Elumelu Distributes ₦150 Million Worth of Food and Appliances to Supporters in Delta State ….Honours PDP Supporters Across Four LGAs in Aniocha/Oshimili Constituency

ONICHA-UKU/Nigeria: Rt. Hon. Ndudi Elumelu, the immediate past Minority Leader of the House of Representatives, has distributed food items and household appliances worth over ₦150 million to residents of Delta State.
The beneficiaries, including supporters of Elumelu, received the items during a distribution event held at his Onicha-Uku country home in Aniocha North Local Government Area on Wednesday, September 11, 2024.
The distribution covered the four Local Government Areas within the Aniocha/Oshimili Federal Constituency. The recipients included members of the Door-to-Door WhatsApp Closed Group, which consists of PDP supporters from various communities in the constituency.
Items distributed ranged from 50kg bags of rice, 100kg bags of beans, to deep freezers, refrigerators, and electricity generators.
Speaking at the flag-off of the event, Elumelu expressed his gratitude to those who supported him and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) during the 2023 general elections.
“This gesture is a token of appreciation for your support,” he said.
“I want to thank you for your time, your interest in Aniocha/Oshimili Federal Constituency, and your support for our Governor, His Excellency Rt. Hon. Sheriff Francis Oborevwori.”
Elumelu praised Governor Oborevwori for his inclusive governance and remarkable achievements across various sectors, noting that his administration is making strides in advancing Delta State.
During a conversation with journalists, Elumelu emphasized the importance of showing appreciation to supporters.
“One way to motivate people is by acknowledging their efforts,” he said.
“I urge elected officials to emulate Governor Oborevwori, who is always at the forefront of showing gratitude to those who worked hard for the party.”
Also speaking at the event, Hon. Emma Bazim Chinye, Executive Chairman of Aniocha North Local Government and a member of the WhatsApp Closed Group, lauded Elumelu for his generosity.
“Despite not currently holding office, Hon. Elumelu has continued to touch lives. He has a heart for the people, and his contributions are deeply felt, especially during these challenging times.”
Many of the beneficiaries expressed their appreciation, praying for Elumelu and praising him as a source of hope.
They commended his dedication to their welfare, with many looking forward to his return to the House of Representatives.
The distribution event was attended by several key figures in the Aniocha/Oshimili Federal Constituency, including Chief Nkem Okwuofu, Hon. Austin Chikaezie, Dr. Odinigwe Odigie, Hon. Dr. Jaunty Okwudi, and Hon. Emmanuel Solokwu. Others present were Hon. Clara Nneka Dibia, Chief Ifesiokwu Chike Paul, and Ms. Bridget Modebe, among others.
