
ASABA/Nigeria: Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Emomotimi Dennis Guwor, has congratulated the Asagba of Asaba, His Royal Majesty Prof. Epiphany Azinge, SAN, OON, on the celebration of his 70th birthday, praising him as a distinguished intellectual and a progressive monarch whose leadership continues to inspire the state.
In a statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Nkem Nwaeke, the Speaker described the Asagba as an extraordinary scholar blessed with deep wisdom and a passionate commitment to building a more peaceful and progressive society.
Rt. Hon. Guwor highlighted the monarch’s notable contributions to education, peace-building, and cultural renaissance within just one year on the throne, noting that he has emerged as a modern-day traditional ruler who blends heritage with contemporary leadership ideals. He referenced the monarch’s recent lecture, “Traditional Rulers and Constitutional Governance: Towards a Blend of Modernity and Cultural Relativism,” as evidence of his intellectual depth and his desire to shape a more informed and inclusive society.
“The Asagba’s reign has been marked by dignity, humility, and an unwavering dedication to the welfare of his people,” Guwor stated.
The Speaker expressed confidence that the Asagba’s developmental vision aligns seamlessly with that of Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, who is committed to transforming Asaba into a capital city that proudly reflects its cultural heritage and future aspirations.
