
ASABA/Nigeria: The Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Emomotimi Dennis Guwor, has congratulated the Ebenanawei of Ogulagha Kingdom, HRM Elder Capt. King Joseph Timiyan, Torububou I, on the occasion of his 20th coronation anniversary, describing the monarch’s reign as a period of peace, unity, and remarkable progress.
In a goodwill message issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr. Nkem Nwaeke, the Speaker extolled the royal father’s wisdom, dedication, and service to his people, noting that his two decades on the throne have brought unprecedented development and stability to the oil-rich Ogulagha Kingdom in Burutu Local Government Area of Delta State.
Rt. Hon. Guwor lauded the monarch’s contributions to the promotion of peace and cultural heritage in the Niger Delta, stressing that the king’s leadership style has remained a unifying force among his subjects and a source of inspiration to traditional rulers across the state.
“I, on behalf of my constituents and the entire Delta State House of Assembly, heartily congratulate His Royal Majesty, Elder Capt. King Joseph Timiyan, Torububou I, on his 20th anniversary as the king of the ancient Ogulagha Kingdom,” Guwor stated.
“Twenty years on the throne is a clear testament to his leadership, commitment to peace, and tireless efforts in preserving the cultural values and unity of the Ogulagha people. His reign has fostered harmony, development, and progress that continue to define the kingdom,” he added.
The Speaker, who also serves as National Treasurer of the Conference of Speakers of State Houses of Assembly in Nigeria, prayed for God’s continued guidance, good health, and wisdom for the monarch as he leads his people into greater prosperity.
“The majestic king, whose commanding presence reflects the dignity of his throne, deserves our collective prayers and support. My earnest wish is that God will grant him more grace, strength, and wisdom to continue to rule his people in peace and prosperity,” Guwor said.
He further congratulated the chiefs, elders, and entire people of Ogulagha Kingdom for their steadfast support to their monarch and their contributions to the stability and development of the region.
Rt. Hon. Guwor expressed optimism that under the leadership of HRM King Joseph Timiyan, Ogulagha Kingdom would continue to experience greater unity, progress, and transformation in the years ahead.
“His Royal Majesty’s 20 years of selfless service to his people is not just a celebration of longevity on the throne but a recognition of impactful leadership. The Ogulagha Kingdom has indeed grown stronger and more prosperous under his reign,” the Speaker concluded.
