Some ministers of God under the auspices of Concerned Gospel Ministers for Nigerian Development, Delta state chapter has drummed their supports for the Government of Senator (Dr.) Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa.
The ministers in a recent statement after their meeting in Asaba, said that they decided to drum for more support for the Okowa administration, because he has shown through his SMART agenda that he meant well for the people of Delta state.
The ministers, who spoke through the Delta North coordinator of the body, Pastor Smart Obi, and Rev. Dr. Ehijator Abhulimen, the coordinator of Ukwuani LGA, said that the governor has shown his love for the people of Delta state, but has also shown that his government is ordained by God.
The ministers also said that the appointments of Bishop Greatman Nmalagu and other practising men of God into the government is a welcome development.
According to the ministers, who compared the appointments of some men of God into some offices in the state, said it can only be compared to the biblical stories of Joseph and Nehemiah, who were in the period of gloat, God used them to restore the economy of the people, and were prosperous again, because they made sure that there were proper management of the peoples resources.
The group also in the statement, said the governors appointing some men of God into his government, he is directly drawing strength from God which will make him achieve what he had planned for Deltans.
Specifically, the group said that the creation of the office of the Executive Assistant (EA), to the governor on Religious Matters shows that he actually is working with the direction of God, as this was the first time such office was created to manage and advice the governor of the state on religious matters.
While calling on Deltans to continue to pray and support the plans of Governor Ifeanyi Okowa agenda, the group also called on the government to continue to protect the non-indigenes in the state, so that the peace he promised will be achieved, as all persons in the state are under his protection.
