Obi Commends Okowa For Appointing Osakwe As Member, Delta State Advisory And Peace Building Council

The Governor of Delta State, Senator Dr Ifeanyi Okowa has been commended for appointing Senator Patrick Osakwe as a member of the advisory and peace building council.
Chief Ifeanyi Obi made the commendation while speaking with Journalists in Asaba.
According to him, Senator Osakwe’s antecedents as an experienced business man, law maker and politician singled him out as deserving of the appointment.
“We, especially, those of us from Ugiliamai, Onicha Ukwuani are very happy that our Governor appointed a worthy son of our community to represent Ndokwa West in the state advisory council, we thank Governor Okowa for this recognition of excellence, because Senator Osakwe is a respected businessman and politician,” Chief Obi said.
He added, “our people will always support Governor Okowa’s administration, we see him as one of us, and we know he is a gift to Delta State.”
Chief Obi who is also the Chairman, Delta State Council of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) used the occasion to congratulate Senator Osakwe for his successful inauguration as member of the Advisory and Peace Building Council and also congratulated him on his 67th birthday, observing that he has a lot to offer Delta State and humanity.
“I want to congratulate Senator Osakwe for two reasons, his inauguration as a member of the advisory council and his 67th birthday, we pray that God will always give him good health and wisdom to continue play his roles in the society,” Chief Obi said.
