Oborevwori Celebrates Orodje of Okpe at Birthday

His Royal Majesty, Maj.-Gen. Felix Mujakperuo (rtd), Orhue I, the Orodje of Okpe Kingdom, seated on the throne during a royal engagement, as Senator Ede Dafinone joins the kingdom and well-wishers in celebrating the monarch’s birthday.

Sheriff Oborevwori, has congratulated the Chairman of the Delta State Council of Traditional Rulers and Orodje of Okpe Kingdom, His Royal Majesty Maj.-Gen. Felix Mujakperuo (rtd), Orhue I, on the occasion of his birth anniversary, praising him as a symbol of peace, unity, and progressive leadership.

In a statement issued in Asaba by his Chief Press Secretary, Sir Festus Ahon, the governor lauded the revered monarch for his distinguished service and exceptional contributions to the growth and stability of Delta State and Nigeria. He described the Orodje as a bridge-builder whose integrity and influence have continued to strengthen traditional governance and communal harmony.

Oborevwori noted that Orhue I’s decades of leadership have been characterised by an unwavering commitment to cultural preservation, peaceful coexistence, and the overall development of the Okpe Kingdom. He extolled the monarch as a custodian of tradition and an exemplary royal father whose guidance has remained invaluable to his people.

“Over the years, Orhue I has made remarkable contributions to the growth and advancement of Okpe Kingdom, Delta State, and the nation at large,” the governor said, acknowledging the monarch’s steadfast support for his administration and his role in uniting his subjects while strengthening the traditional institution in line with the state’s development goals.

Extending the government’s felicitations, Oborevwori said: “On behalf of the Government and people of Delta State, I warmly congratulate His Royal Majesty, Maj.-Gen. Felix Mujakperuo (rtd), CFR, the Orodje of Okpe Kingdom, Orhue I, on his birth anniversary. We deeply appreciate your exceptional support in various areas and trust that you will continue to uphold your domain as a symbol of peace and unity.”

The governor joined the Okpe people in celebrating what he described as “an extraordinary monarch,” praying for continued good health, wisdom, and divine strength for the royal father. He further applauded the Orodje’s commitment to preserving Okpe culture, fostering ethnic cohesion, promoting socio-cultural cooperation, and encouraging peaceful communal living across the state.

Oborevwori described the monarch as an inspiration, a mentor, and a role model to leaders across generations, expressing confidence that his reign will continue to bring progress and harmony to Delta State.
