ASABA/Nigeria: A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and Policy Adviser to Senator Ned Nwoko, Chief Emmanuel Afam Eboh, has hailed the recent meeting between Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, and former Deputy Senate President, Obaisi Ovie Omo-Agege, describing it as a “significant peace-building relationship” capable of strengthening party cohesion and enhancing democratic dividends across the state.
Governor Oborevwori and Omo-Agege, his major rival in the 2023 Delta governorship election, met two weeks ago at a public event in Warri, where both leaders engaged in warm and constructive discussions on party leadership and unity.
In a statement issued in Abuja, Chief Eboh described the encounter as “a profound gesture of peace and political cohesion,” noting that the cordial interaction between the two prominent figures bodes well for Delta’s political climate.
He commended Governor Oborevwori for demonstrating humility and good leadership by extending a hand of fellowship to the former Deputy Senate President, acknowledging the value of inclusive governance in a diverse state like Delta.
Chief Eboh also praised Omo-Agege for recognizing Oborevwori as the leader of the party in the state, describing the gesture as “an expression of brotherly love and politics without bitterness.”
According to him, the governor’s engagement with Omo-Agege will help reduce political tension, foster unity, and promote social stability among the populace.
He added that Governor Oborevwori’s leadership style has brought calmness to Delta’s political landscape, noting that the governor has so far lived up to his promise to serve all Deltans irrespective of political affiliation.
Chief Eboh urged the governor to sustain efforts aimed at uniting political stakeholders ahead of the 2027 general elections, emphasizing the importance of reconciliation and dialogue.
The APC stalwart encouraged members of the party to emulate the governor’s liberal and inclusive disposition, stressing that acceptance, understanding, and unity remain essential for strengthening democratic governance in the state.
