The government of Senator (Dr.) Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa has been described as a government that is moving in the right direction.
This statement was made by the aide to the governor on religious matters, Bishop Greatman O.G. Nmalagu on the occasion of the 24 anniversary of the creation of Delta state, during the Inter-Denomination service that was held at the St. Philips Anglican Church, AGGS, westend, Asaba, on 27 August, 2015.
The aide to the governor said since the inception of this administration, the various programmes embarked by the government, in the area of job creation, through the SMART agenda of the government, the area of road rehabilitation and construction, the continuation of the free education program of the state, and many other programmes
On the area of the Delta State Oil Producing Areas Commission, (DESOPADEC), the introduction and signing into law of the amended Bill is a great achievement of the Okowa’s government, was one the achievements of the present government.
Speaking further, Bishop Nmalagu said the creation of Delta state 24 years ago, is worth celebrating, as the state had witnessed tremendous development in the area of primary health care, and other health matters, education, with its massive investment in all areas on education, infrastructural and human capital development, peace and religious tolerance among all the various religious groups in the state.
Thanking God for the life of the state and all Deltans, he appealed to Deltans to continue to pray for the present government, for a more and holistic development from His Excellency, Senator (Dr.) Ifeanyi Okowa, especially in the area of peace building and continues religious tolerance, to attain “Prosperity for all Deltans”.
