PDP Ndokwa East Dismisses Any Threat from APC …. As Delta North PDP Rounds up Ward-to-Ward Campaign to 98 Wards

OKPAI/Nigeria: Leaders of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP in Ndokwa East of Delta State had dismissed any threat from opposition parties, especially the All Progressives Congress, APC during the 2023 General Elections in the area.

The leaders made the observation when the party’s campaign train visited the remaining Wards in the Local Government Area, which is amongst the 98 Wards in Delta North.

The leaders stated that contrary to what the opposition parties, especially the APC, had been showcasing, the PDP has the dominant support in the area, and will continue to have such support as the party had implemented policies that had touched their lives.

The party started its Ward–to–Ward campaign in the Senatorial District, from Ward 1 Obior, the hometown of the former Deputy Governor, Chief Benjamin Elue in Aniocha North Local Government, on Monday, 7th November, 2022.

With the visit to Ward 1, Ossissa the party had completed the 4 weeks exercise throughout the 9 Local Government Areas.

In Ward 4, which is made of Okpai Community, and Beneku, the hometown of the former Deputy Speaker, and Deputy Governorship Candidate of the APC, Rt. Hon. Friday Osanebi, the leaders of PDP, interviewed dismissed any threat from his decamping to the APC.

A leader in his Beneku community, Chief Paul Otuya, stated that they have no threat from any opposition party, especially the APC in the area, as he asked rhetorically.

“Threat? Where is it and from whom? I don’t see any threat from any opposition here, especially the APC.”

Speaking in the same vein, Prince Nzekwe from Okpai community said as for his community, and any other he knows in Ndokwa East, the PDP is still much on ground.

“Look, let not be deceived. PDP is very much on the ground, and I am not seeing any threat. And from whom? PDP is in charge here, and we will retain it in 2023.” He said.

On his part, the leader of the decampees from the APC, Mr. Akakpa Liberty, attributed the party that does not have good intention for the people, and has nothing to show as a party.

He regretted the time he spent in the APC, as a wasted time, stated that as if he knew, he did not destroy his old PDP membership card.

“There is nothing in APC. A party where nothing good happens. A party that has no good plans for Nigerians. Because the party has no good intention for its members, and Nigerians, it cannot be of any threat to PDP in Ndokwa East.”

“As if I knew, I did not destroy my PDP membership card when I went to APC. Thank God I am back to where there is light.” He said.

In their various welcome speeches, the Ward Chairmen affirmed the dominance of the PDP in the area and the lack of any threat from any other party.

During the round-up campaign, the party visited the remaining Wards in Ndokwa East, and the Delta North Senatorial Chairman, Elder Moses Iduh challenged the party faithful to continue to talk to the electorates to vote for the PDP in 2023.

He stated that the party and Nigerians have no choice but to rescue and reset Nigeria from the bad Government of the APC.

“As we depart your Wards, know that the campaign for the 2023 Elections has begun. I charge you therefore to go from home to home, shop to shop, and friends-to-friends, tell every electorate of the good news. Tell them to first go and collect their Permanent Voters Card, PVC.”

“Tell them that the PDP is very ready to rescue them.” He stated.

The candidates in their various speeches called on the party faithful to continue to promote the manifestos of the party and work for its victory.

Those in the campaign train were the Deputy Governorship candidate, Sir Monday Onyeme, the Senatorial candidate, Hon. Prince Ned Nwoko, the House of Representatives candidate, Mr. Nnamdi Ezechi, and the State constituency candidate for Ndokwa East, Mr. Emeka Osamuta.

The Wards visited were Ossisa Ward 1, Okpai Ward 4, Ibrede Ward 9, and Ashaka Ward 10.
