Special Assistant on Political Matters, Chief Akigo Okiemute
The Delta State Governor, Senator Ifeanyi Okowa, has told the Youth Wing of Urhobo Progressive Union, UPU, that his administration needs more support to actualise its plan of creating prosperity for the people of the state.
Governor Okowa, who was represented by his Special Assistant on Political Matters, Chief Akigo Okiemute, during a courtesy visit to the President – General of UPU Youth Wing, Mr. Anthony Igho, said that the state cannot grow in a non harmonious atmosphere.
Okiemute said that within his 100 days in office, Governor Okowa has been able to achieve some milestone in the area of strategic wealth creation initiatives.
He noted that the first batch of beneficiaries of the wealth creation scheme had been released, adding that others will follow in due course.
Responding, the UPU Youth Wing President – General, Mr. Anthony Igho, noted that Governor Okowa has the prerequisite to take Delta State to the next level, assuring that the Urhobos will continue to give necessary support to ensure the success of the administration in the state
