ASABA/Nigeria: The Executive Assistant on Communication and Orientation to Delta State Governor, Dr. (Barr) Wilfred Latimore Oghenesivbe has made a compelling case for the departure of Olorogun Otega Emerhor, the distinguished leader within the Delta State Chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Speaking on the occasion of Emerhor’s 66th birthday anniversary celebration, Oghenesivbe highlighted Emerhor’s significant contributions, portraying him as a dynamic and unifying figure who worked tirelessly to advance the agenda of the APC within the region.
“Emerhor’s diligent efforts in mobilization and substantial financial contributions significantly bolstered the APC’s presence in Delta,” stated Oghenesivbe. “However, the time is opportune for this seasoned boardroom expert and politician to shift allegiance towards the MORE Agenda spearheaded by Governor Rt Hon (Elder) Sheriff F.O. Oborevwori, focusing on unprecedented infrastructure and socioeconomic development in Delta State.”
Oghenesivbe expressed confidence in Emerhor’s capacity to leverage his extensive experience spanning over three decades, especially in attracting Foreign Direct Investments (FDI) to fuel the manufacturing and industrial sectors. He lamented the limited success of Emerhor’s efforts within the APC, attributing it to the dominant influence of self-serving leaders, which he believes has contributed to the party’s present state of disarray in the state.
Extending felicitations on Emerhor’s birthday, Oghenesivbe affirmed, “Sir, your impact as a detribalized and progressive leader resonates profoundly with many, myself included. Yet, it’s time to bid farewell to the unproductive confines of the APC, a party that, in its tenure, allegedly crippled our national economy without remorse.”
The impassioned plea continued, urging Emerhor to unite forces with Governor Oborevwori to drive the MORE Agenda’s initiatives, emphasizing the governor’s readiness to collaborate until May 29, 2031, for the betterment of Delta State.
“In celebrating your birthday and extraordinary journey, my prayers are for your continued expansion, wisdom, good health, and longevity, enabling your continued service towards the greater prosperity of Delta and Nigeria,” concluded Oghenesivbe.
The call for Emerhor’s transition to the MORE Agenda marks a pivotal moment in Delta State’s political landscape, with implications for the future trajectory of the region’s development initiatives.
