120 Ndokwa Youths Receive Training and Micro Finance Empowerment From Hon Ossai

The Hon. Member representing Ndokwa/Ukwuani Federal Constituency, Hon. Ossai Nicolas Ossai has urged youths, Men, and Women who graduated from his empowerment program to adequately maximize the fund given to them by investing it in line with the skills acquired from the entrepreneurial skill training.
He stated this recently in Kwale, delta state while presenting certificate and Cash rewards to the grandaunts during the presentation of his 6months achievement Report in the National Assembly to his constituent.

According to him, he deemed it appropriate to engage experts from Abuja to train people from his Federal Constituency in the area of Cosmetics Production, Bead making, Ankara shoes, Candle production, bag production, and other skills to enable the people acquire Skills that will provide food for their families and also provide employment that would boost the Economy of the state.
”It is better to teach a Child how to Fish than to give him Fish”, he said.

Some of the participants who were drawn from the three Local government areas in his constituency applauded the Empowerment scheme, describing it as the best thing that has happened in Ndokwa Nation, as they are poised to start up their skill acquisition business, where they would engage many apprentice and ensure they replicate same in the Federal constituency.
Earlier in her address, the representative of the Chief organizer, President of the Women of Virtue empowerment and Development Initiative (WOVEDI) Mrs. Favour Agwumen described the scheme as water shed in the history of Women and Youth empowerment program in Ndokwa/Ukwani Federal constituency.
“Our Graduands here can testify to the fact that they have been trained into business owners in their various chosen areas of empowerment, either in the area of production of hand- made bags, shoes and Accessories using Ankara Fabrics from start to finish, cosmetics production, such as bar soap production, liquid soap production, disinfectant production, germicide production, Air freshener production, candle production, Gele tying as well as Beads and Jewelry making.”
She however, reaffirms her confidence on the trainees’ capacity to utilize the seed fund given to them through passion and determination to succeed as entrepreneurs which the training has inculcated into them.
Hon. Ossai added that the new entrepreneurs will be monitored from time to time, as those who turns out to be doing well will receive additional funds to grow their business while the Empowerment scheme is designed to continue all through his stay in office to touch most of the persons in his constituency.
