ASABA/Nigeria: The Peoples Democratic Party, (PDP) Delta State has expressed their gratitude to the people of Delta South, for openly endorsing the State Governor, Senator Ifeanyi Okowa for a second term.
In a statement made available to Ndokwa Reporters and signed by the state Publicity Secretary, Dr. Ifeanyi Michael Osuoza, the party said the endorsement shows the overwhelming outpouring of love and undiluted show of absolute confidence on the governor.
“The wonderful people of Delta South; the Itsekiris, the Ijaws and the amazing people of Isoko nation, ….overwhelming outpouring of love and undiluted show of absolute trust and confidence manifested during the grand reception organized for the leader of Delta State PDP, His Excellency, Senator Dr. Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa.”
The statement said that the massive turnout of the people from the senatorial district was a solid and an unshakable statement of endorsement, in recognition of the achievement of the governor.
“We have never nursed any doubts about the love and acceptance that the people of Delta South has for the PDP and especially for His Excellency Senator Ifeanyi Okowa and the massive turn out of the our brothers and sisters from the collective nations of Delta South to receive, celebrate and adopt Okowa again in Isokoland, for a second tenure come 2019, was a solid and unshakable statement of endorsement in recognition of the enduring legacy achievements.”
While celebrating the achievements of the Okowa lead government, the statement stated that the government has achieved major milestone in the area of peace, and efforts for are being made to sustain such.
“The return of sustainable peace and the committed efforts towards ensuring that the peace building strategies are consolidated in the area by the Okowa administration.”
“Your decision to join your fellow brothers and sisters in Anioma Nation and to uphold the brave, courageous, uplifting and historic pronouncement of our most respected Delta Central traditional monarchs, has completed the cycle of endorsements across the three geo-political zones in the State and put a final seal and stamp of credibility and authority on the collective desire of Deltans to Vote Okowa Again for his well deserved second term as Governor of Delta State.”
