OBIARUKU/Nigeria: The race to the Delta State House of Assembly in 2019 by Hon Christopher Ochor Ochor to occupy the Ukwuani State Constituency Seat, is gaining more ground within the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, as different stakeholders, and groups had continued to give their supports by endorsing his ambition.
In a wave of continuous endorsement, and alignment for a better option for the party in the LGA, the immediate Executive Chairman of the Council, Barr Benedicta Ndudi Osakunih-Izuegbu, had collapse her political structure, Ndokwa Rising, to join the Reality Group of Hon Ochor, in order to achieve the initial agreement by the party leadership in the area to project Hon Ochor as the party’s candidate for the House of Assembly in 2019.
During the event which was held in the Country Home of the immediate council chairman, she directed her followers and supporters to give hundred percent attentions to the Ochor 2019 project, before and after the primary.
“I want all members of Ndokwa Rising, which is my political structure, and all my supporters to move and join with the political structure of Ochor, and give him total supports to achieve the race to represent Ukwuani in the state House of Assembly, come 2019.”
Emphasising the need to support Hon Ochor, she said, “There was a general agreement amongst Ukwuani political leaders within PDP sometime before the chairmanship primary at the house of a well respected leader, in which they unanimously agreed that Ogbuefi Chukwudi Dafe should go for chairmanship, Hon. Ochor for House of Assembly, while Hon. Ojo will seek for House of representatives.”
According to her, the arrangement was not a favourable one to her, because she was schemed out, but she was part of those who endorsed it.
“I was part of those who took that decision, despite the facts that I was schemed out by the arrangement, but was surprised that someone decided to renege without any reason.”
“So the position of presenting Hon Ochor as the candidate of our great party is not negotiable in Ukwuani.” She stated.
In his comment, Hon Ochor assured the members of Ndokwa Rising of his unifying representation, as the necessary things that will bring development to the area will be done.
He called on the PDP faithful in the area to work towards the reelection of Governor Ifeanyi Okowa, come 2019.
