ASABA/Nigeria: Critical stakeholders of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Ukwuani LGA of Delta State, has endorsed Governor Ifeanyi Okowa as a sole gubernatorial candidate ahead of the 2019 general elections and also the candidature of Rt.Hon. (Dr) Olisa Imegwu as Sole candidate for the Ndokwa/Ukwuani House of Representatives seat.
The group which among them is the Executive Chairman Ukwuani Local Government Area, Ogbuefi Chukwudi Dafe, Some members of the Ukwuani legislative in a general meeting at Obiaruku, the Council Headquarters stated that their resolve to endorsed Governor Okowa and Rt. Hon. Imegwu was necessitated as a result of their past antecedent and contribution to the growth and development of Ndokwa Nation.
Ogbuefi Dafe at the meeting noted that there is no better alternative to Governor Okowa ahead of the 2019 polls as the many appointments and developmental strides of Governor Okowa in Ndokwa Nation is testimonial to the fact that the Governor means well for the Ndokwa people.
He also posited that Rt. Hon. Imegwu gave Ndokwa Nation a firm voice in the National Assembly during his short stay at the green chambers, noting that he will do better when given another mandate.
