IBUSSA/Nigeria: Izu Anioma, the umbrella body of Ndi Anioma, Saturday, March 17, 2018, visited the most distinguished Senator Peter Nwaoboshi at his Ibusa residence.
Addressing Sen. Nwaoboshi, Dr Kingsley Ojeah, the chairman, of the interim national executive committee said that they visited to identify with Sen. Nwaoboshi whom he said was doing well at the Senate. He said that they have heard and seen the impressive outings of the performing Senator both at the Senate and in project delivering.
In his words “we are aware of your numerous performances across the Anioma nation, we are proud of you.”
We cannot also, forget in a hurry, how in, 2010, you galvanised and organised us (the Izu Anioma) and other members of Anioma nation to honour Dr E. E. Uduaghan, the former governor of Delta state.
Responding, Sen. Nwaoboshi thanked them for the visit and confidence reposed in him. He pledged not to disappoint them and other indigenes of Anioma nation.
He further seized the opportunity to inform them of thanksgiving/reception being planned for, Dr Ifeanyi Okowa, the governor of Delta state. He stressed that all that was needed from the group and its likes was prayers and support in the form of helping to mobilise other indigenes of Anioma.
Sen. Nwaoboshi also emphasised that the occasion was not to be a party affairs, therefore, there would be need to reach out to our sons and daughters in other parties and those that are not in partisan politics both at home and in the diaspora.
The high point of the visit was the group’s endorsement of both Sen. Peter Nwaoboshi and Dr Ifeanyi Okowa for second terms.
In the delegation were chiefs Uso Onianwa, P. A. Dunkwu, PA Arthur Okowa, the father of the Delta state governor and chief B. S. C . Elue, the former deputy governor of Delta state.
