UGHELLI/Nigeria: Ughelli/Udu Federal House of Representative Hopeful Dr (Olorogun) Ebenezer Okorodudu has promised to practice the concept of Prebendalism if elected as a member representing the constituency at the Green Chambers of the National Assembly in 2019.
Okorodudu who is aspiring for the seat under the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) made the promise during his formal declaration for the contest at his Ekpan residence recently as he defined Prebendalism as a concept in democracy where every representative struggle at the centre to attract dividends of democracy to their constituents.
He asserted in his declaration that as a representative of the people, the representative must be educationally sound to relate with his colleagues to present bills and be diplomatic enough to attract development to his people adding that, the representative must have a good knowledge of the culture of the people and also command their spoken language, social relations, public relation and goodwill and their traditional institutions. While declaring that he is the best candidate for the seat, Okorodudu stated that “If am giving the opportunity, I will give my best for the service of the people “.
