ABOH/Nigeria: Ahead of 2019 general elections, Deputy Speaker, Delta State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Friday Ossai Osanebi has charged political office holders in Ndokwa East to play down on their personal ambitions, jettison personal differences, unite for the sake of Governor Okowa.
He said appointed and elected political office holders must synchronize, in order to give Governor Ifeanyi Okowa massive and total victory in Ndokwa East local government area.
Osanebi gave the charge today, when he was addressing a gathering of appointed and elected political office holders from Ndokwa East in the Ndokwa East council hall, Aboh, headquarters of Ndokwa East local government area.
Osanebi noted that the victory of Senator Ifeanyi Okowa is not negotiable and all hands must be on desk to deliver the all important mandate that unites all party faithful and politicians in delta state together.
“We must face this issue critically and give it the full attention and importance it demands. If we must deliver PDP and Governor Okowa massively in the fourth coming election, we must all bury our prides, get united and double our efforts” Osanebi said.
He further added that politicians and leaders in the ward level must genuinely reconcile their differences and unite as one towards delivering the party manifesto.
“There’s no way the opposition will not scatter things for you in your ward when the two or three appointees or elected officers are keeping malice and are not in talking terms”. He added.
Osanebi called for seriousness and over all evaluation in the polity in Ndokwa East and the party at the ward, noting that all political office holders from each ward must hence forth begin to go home regularly to meet interact with the people and also being part of the party meeting.
The council Chairman, Engr. Amachee Juan Governor and other leaders and political office holders in the area took turns to make contribution and presenting issues that need urgent attention especially unity across board and consolidating on the going voters registration.
It was also agreed that the meeting will be monthly and transferring same to the ward levels. Some political office holders that were in the meeting were: Mr. Chika Ossai, Commissioner for Lands and Survey. Nnamdi Ezechi, DESOPADEC Commissioner representing Ndokwa Ethnic nationality, Chief Emmanuel Onyeuku , Chairman, Delta State College of Education Governing Board , Agbor; Chika Ossai, Barr. Sam Chukwuji, Ndokwa East PDP Chairman Chief Ugo Asibelua and excos. Other include, Engr. Alex Aniche, Kingsley Chibogu, Jerry Illiroma, Tony Ndanenu, Ikechukwu Akozor and others.
