2027: APC Chieftain Backs Ned Nwoko’s Senate Return, Declares Him Unstoppable

By Austin Oyibode

ASABA/Nigeria: A prominent All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftain in Delta North, Chief Emma Ejiofor, has declared unwavering support for Senator Ned Nwoko’s 2027 re-election bid, saying no serious contender stands a chance against him.

In an exclusive interview, Ejiofor dismissed talks of opposition to Nwoko’s return to the Senate, describing such suggestions as unserious. “Nobody is contesting Senator Nwoko’s position with him. Those shenanigans that are talking — we will tell them we are miles ahead of them,” he said.

Ejiofor praised Nwoko’s impact in the National Assembly, calling him a “colossus” and a respected figure who has brought pride to the Anioma nation. “If you go to the National Assembly, you will be proud that you are from Anioma. Everybody respects him. This is what is needed in governance,” he said.

He attributed recent political shifts in the region, including defections from the PDP to the APC, to Nwoko’s influence. “If Ned had not moved, they wouldn’t have moved. Ned is AI himself — he can solve your political problems exactly how you want it,” Ejiofor said.

Highlighting Nwoko’s constituency projects, Ejiofor cited major initiatives like the Oko-Patani road, Idumuje-Ugboko dam, Okpai power plant, and Ogwashi Uku dam, arguing that the senator must be allowed to complete them. He dismissed token empowerment schemes as “insulting,” noting that Nwoko’s focus on infrastructure sets him apart.

“Now that we have gotten a voice in Delta North — mark that word — we have a voice in government. We must send him back to the Senate to finish all he has started,” he asserted.

Senator Nwoko, who recently defected from the PDP to the APC, continues to stir political momentum in Delta North as 2027 approaches.
