AWKA/Nigeria: The Anambra State chapter of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors (RHA) has pledged to support All Progressives Congress (APC) candidates in the state’s 2027 National Assembly elections.
The commitment followed a meeting between the leadership of the group and APC National Assembly candidates from Anambra State, according to a communique issued after the meeting and made available to journalists in Awka.
State Coordinator of RHA, Okey Ezenwa, said the organisation would make its structures across the state available to the APC candidates as part of efforts to mobilise support for the party ahead of the elections.
He also said the group would work with other political organisations and groups that support President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.
Ezenwa directed RHA coordinators across Anambra to make their structures in the various federal constituencies and senatorial zones available to the party’s candidates.
The meeting, according to the communique, reaffirmed the group’s commitment to what it described as “one party, one message and one mobilisation framework” in advancing the Renewed Hope Agenda in the state.
The group said its coordinators across the 21 local government areas and 326 wards had continued to communicate information on the policies, programmes and activities of the Tinubu administration to residents.
It also attributed what it described as an increase in RHA membership across the wards to growing interest in the Federal Government’s policies and programmes.
The group called on its coordinators and members to remain united and focused in their grassroots activities and in communicating what it described as the achievements of the Tinubu administration.
The meeting was attended by RHA state, zonal and local government coordinators, as well as APC candidates contesting National Assembly seats in Anambra.
The development comes as political parties and support groups intensify preparations for the 2027 electoral cycle.
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has listed January 16, 2027, as the date for the Presidential and National Assembly elections on its current election information page.
