Boroh urged to address alleged marginalization of Ndokwa youths on the Amnesty Programme

Ndokwa youths, under the auspices of Pages Group International, have called on the Coordinator of the Presidential Amnesty Programme, Brig-Gen Paul Boroh (rtd) to address what they described as the gross marginalization of ex-militants of Ndokwa extraction in the programme in the last dispensation.
President of the group, Mr Chocky Chukwuma, who addressed newsmen in Kwale, Ndokwa West Local Government Area, Delta State after a meeting of the group, said “Ex-agitators from Ndokwa nation were completely excluded in the integration of ex-militants into the first, second and third phases of the amnesty programme by the immediate past leadership of the programme.”
Expressing optimism that they would be carried along in the programme with the emergence of Brig-Gen Boroh as the new Coordinator of the Amnesty Programme, they congratulated him on his appointment.
Chukwuma charged Boroh “To make sure that everybody is carried along in the next phase of the amnesty.”
Stressing the need for him to use his new office for the betterment of the people of the Niger Delta region, he said; “I commend President Muhammadu Buhari for listening to the voice of reason by appointing someone to fill the vacuum created by the expiration of the term of the previous chairman, which has caused disruption to the entire structure of the programme.”
He called on all stakeholders to support Brig-Gen Boroh (rtd) to enable him succeed in his new assignment.
