ABOH/Nigeria: The Delta state Governor, Senator Ifeanyi Okowa had been commended for opening up the local economy, through road construction and security of lives and properties in the state.
Speaking to Ndokwa Reporters on the 5th Anniversary of the Okowa’s government the Chairman of Ndokwa East Local Government Area, Hon Juan Governor, said that with periods in review, the governor had taken the general development of the state as a very crucial priority, and this had transformed the state to an enviable one amongst the states of the federation.
Hon Governor pointed out amongst the numerous achievements of the governor in the last five years, is the area of road construction and security, as these two had greatly helped in the transformation of the economy of the state.
He pointed out that the governor had in his first tenure focused on massive road rehabilitation and construction, thereby opening many parts of the state to those who are involved in various types of businesses. Stating that no economy can undermine the place of road in its development.
He said in line with the road development, the peace which the state had enjoyed for five years now had never been witnessed in the past, as ther had been relative peace in the state, especially in areas generally known for its volatile nature.
He commended the governor for his been proactive in all his policies, which was also witnessed in the run to the emergence of the Novel Coronavirus pandemic, in which he have to put machineries in place to curb the spread of the virus in the state.
