ABUJA/Nigeria: The 1-ADC Movement has paid glowing tribute to the founder of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Chief Ralph Okey Nwosu, on the occasion of his 67th birthday, describing him as a visionary leader, unwavering democrat and patriot whose contributions have helped shape Nigeria’s democratic landscape.
In a congratulatory message signed by its National Coordinator, Lauretta Onochie, the movement said Chief Nwosu’s enduring commitment to democratic ideals and principled leadership laid the foundation for the emergence of the ADC as a credible political platform dedicated to national transformation, inclusion and good governance.
The group noted that at a time when politics was largely viewed as a struggle for power and personal interests, Nwosu envisioned a political movement anchored on integrity, service, accountability and citizen empowerment. According to the statement, that vision gave birth to the African Democratic Congress, a party established to deepen democracy and provide Nigerians with a genuine alternative for political participation and nation-building.
