ASABA/Nigeria: The Delta State Government has signed an MOU of Joint Venture agreement with Mirai Technology Limited and Norsworthy Investment Limited to establish a multi-billion naira agro-industrial park to harness the agricultural potentials for the socio-economic development of the state.
The ceremony which was held at the Secretary to the State Government (SSG) office in Asaba the state capital had in attendance the state Chief Job Creation Officer, Professor Eric Eboh, the Commissioner for Agriculture and Natural Resources, Hon. Austin Chikezie, Commissioner for Commerce and Industry, Barr. Mary Iyaseren amongst others.
The secretary to the state government, Chief Ovie Festus Agas said the state is an industrial hub for other investors to come in and do business assuring them of enabling environment to operate effectively.
Earlier in his opening remarks, the Chief Job Creation Officer, Prof. Eric Eboh said the MOU went through the various processes of law making thereby making it legitimate adding that agriculture is the way to go in the state.
Mr Roy Tal, Managing Director of Mirai Technology and Engr. Gabriel Ugbechie, Managing Director of Norsworthy Investment Limited both commended Governor Okowa for granting them the privilege to contribute to the socioeconomic development of the state and reiterated their seriousness and commitments to the success of the Agro-Industrial Park which they said will create job opportunities for Deltans and boost the socio-economic life of the people.
