ASABA/Nigeria: A Nigeria-based political pressure group and a body of disciples of Waziri Atiku Abubakar Political ideology, the National Atikulate Movement 4 Emancipation (NAME), has thrown its weight behind the Governor Ifeanyi Okowa-led administration in Delta State for its giant stride in the development of the state’s infrastructure.
NAME, whose State Chairman, Mr Jerry Ewuruje, conducted the National Vice Chairman and other National EXCO of the group round Asaba projects sites of the state government recently, described Governor Okowa as a Road Master Governor (RMG) whose efforts must be praised genuinely.
He added that despite the very difficult financial position of the state at inception of the administration, Governor Okowa had never stopped demonstrating to Deltans that he meant well for them through his SMART Agenda.
The National Vice Chairman of the group in charge of the southern part of the country, Elder Richie Emeni, who stood in for the National Chairman, Mr Tola Ajemitsogbe, appreciated Senator Okowa’s efforts at curbing the menace of flooding in the state.
He argued that the good efforts of the governor would only be better complimented if another sound mind was voted Nigeria’s president, come May 2019, which he said, could be achieved by bringing in Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, the entrepreneur politician as Nigeria’s number one citizen.
Earlier, the National Director of Planning and Strategy of NAME, Dr Sunday Ekakitie, observed that there was no way a state government would embarked on the kind of monumental projects in the state without causing untold hardship to the people.
He however added that the principle of management that says NO PAIN NO GAIN should simply form the overriding philosophy here since the road projects and flood control channels when completed would transform the cities of Asaba, Oko, Okpanam, Ugbolu and other parts of the state capital territory to a higher glory.
The National Vice Chairman, who noted with deep interest the interconnectivity of roads within the metropolis, submitted that the only way to say thank you was to give overwhelming support to the RMG in his second tenure ambition.
“If we don’t tell the RMG thank you through total support for his second tenure ambition, then will have simply rewarded clueless leaders with Golden Crown”, he said.
He charged all members of the National Atikulate Movement 4 Emancipation to as a matter of urgent importance commence the fusion of the ideological campaign of the NAME with the SMART AGENDA campaign of the PDP led administration of Delta State.
