OBIARUKU/Nigeria: With the rising cases of the Novel Coronavirus pandemic in the country, the spread in Delta State had continue with more local government getting cases of infected persons.
To add to infected located governments in Delta state, the Chairman of Ukwuani Local Government Area had announced, Hon Chukwudi Dafe had announced that the council had recorded its first case.
The announcement which was posted by his Social Media Aide, and Supervisory Councilor on Youths, Mr. Otutu Chuks, called for caution amongst the people, and observe the necessary guidelines as directed by the health authourities.
The release stated that the patient had been taken to one of the state government treatment centre for proper attention
“We announce to all Ukwuani indigenes and residents of Ukwuani local government area that we have just recorded our first case of COVID-19.”
“The Patient is currently receiving treatment in one of the approved treatment centres in the State.”
“With this development, i urg everyone to take more seriously the necessary precautionary measures put in place by Government and Health Authorities in other to avoid and mitigate the spread of the disease.”
“He has also advised indigenes and residents of the Local Government to be extra cautious with respect to attendance of Social gatherings and events, especially in cases were social distancing and other precautionary measures are very difficult to observe.
He pointed out that the Coronavirus is real, and the citizens have to be united to curb its spread.
“Let all be united in the prevention of the spread of COVID-19.” He said.
