Chairman of Ukwuani LGA, Barr (Mrs) Benedicta Ndudi Osakuni-Izuegbu
The Chairman of Ukwuani LGA, Barr (Mrs) Benedicta Ndudi Osakuni-Izuegbu, has described the allegation of financial misappropriation against her as false, and the peddlers of such rumours as nothing but “Whistle Blowers”.
The Chairman, who spoke to Ndokwa Reporters on the allegation, said that most of the presentation in the budget was a carryover of project done by the Transition Committee Government of Hon Ochor Ochor, who carried out some projects days before his handover, but the financial statements was not ready before the handover note was prepared.
According to the Chairman, her government had done laudable projects and nobody is praising them, but been criticised without finding out from the people concerned on how such expenses where arrived at.
Some of those projects according to her were “renovation of the council secretariat, the renovation and commissioning of some health centres few days before the handover”. She said.
Speaking further, she said that her government had been able to repair the bridge across the Ethiope River at Umutu, thus reducing the accident that normally occurs along the major Agbor-Sapele road, that often lead to loss of lives.
She also mentioned the achievement so far in the areas of the LGA Agric Farm and other projects.
The Chairmen, called on the people of Ukwuani to be patience as they will soon see more of the positive effect of her government.
