University Of Delta Agbor Constitutes Senate

AGBOR/Nigeria: University of Delta Agbor, UNIDEL, has succeeded in constituting her first Senate which is the highest governing body of the institution since the inception of the young University led by the pioneer Vice Chancellor, Prof Mrs Stella Chiyere Chiemeke.

This was disclosed by the Public Relations /protocol Officer of the Institution, Hon Ferdinand Iwerebon through a press release he posted on a group WhatsApp.

He explained that the University Senate is made up of some statutory positions as well as two elective positions which includes, the Vice Chancellor, Librerian,

The School  Register who is the secretary, all Professors, Dean’s, Academic Directors, Heads of Departments while all University graduates form the congregation with two electives positions, the, representatives of academics and non-academics.

He disclosed that the following persons, appart from the positions of the VC, School Librarian, Registrar, Dr Pally Ejime Agidi, Dean , Facility of management and Social Sciences, Dr Friday Akporhere Dean Faculty of Arts, Mr Oke Dono, HOD Computer Science, Dr Michael Ejeodu Dean Students Affairs, are all members of the School Senate.

He added that through a keenly contested elections Dr Augustine Ezechine of English Department was elected to represent Academic staff while Hon Iweriebon Ferdinand was elected to represent Non Academic staff.

Hon Iweriebon thanked the VC for her managerial acumen which she has brought to bear in the young institution as well as expressing his gratitude to the enter management for the transparency of the election while promising on behalf of the other elected official to put in their best.
