Ofa said that were it not for the appointments offered him by the trio of the two past and still serving Governor Okowa, he could not have gotten the solid flat form to take care of those in needs.
He prayed to Almighty God to continue to bless and uplift them with more good health, longer life to enjoy the good work they have done.
Chief Ofa who has a PhD in educational management from the University of Benin Edo State, assured that the award will spur him to do more for the society which has valued his good works.
He appreciated those who nominated him for the award remarking that he never knew that his modest contributions to the development of society were being noticed.
The General Manager of the Delta Broadcasting Service Warri, Pastor Malcolm Oteri explained to the people that his organisation decided to offer persons in the society who have not only made a mark but who have positively affected the lives of others in the society awards of distinguished service to humanity.
The General Manager lamented that society applauds those who are making their wealth through croaked or evil ways rather than celebrating those who are making their wealth through the right channels.
He averred that they in Delta Broadcasting Organization in their own token, appreciate people in the society for doing good works legally and genuinely through this ward so that others will emulate the gesture and turn a new leaf by doing good.
He maintained that they have started on a positive direction since 2021 by giving awards to selected few who have distinguished themselves in their respective career and by extension those who have impacted positively on others in the society.
He stated further that the award does not reflect any political colouration, but only for those who have positively impacted on the society which he encouraged all Deltans and Nigerians in particular to emulate so that they too could be celebrated.
