Ndokwa Security Fund: Unite With Community Youth Leaders to Benefit Maximally, Osanebi Charges pressure groups.

Asaba-The Deputy Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Friday Ossai Osanebi has called on youth pressure groups in Ndokwa nation to identify and be active members of the community youths, if they must benefit from the security fund from government to communities to maintain peace and strengthen various security groups and oil/gas installations.

The Deputy Speaker gave the charge yesterday, 18 November, 2015 when he met with local government chairmen and secretaries of community youth leaders, community vigilante group leadership in Ndokwa nation and anti-cult volunteer Corp leaders in his office in Asaba.

Welcoming the stakeholders to his office this afternoon, the Deputy Speaker noted that the security of lives and properties in Ndokwa nation is of paramount interest to him and his brother lawmakers from Ndokwa land, hence the stakeholders meeting to brainstorm on how to fine tune and boost the performance of the already existing local security units in the communities. He said: “even as we enter the Yuletide, the security of our people must be taken seriously. I have to commend you too for your effort thus far. The anti-cult, the vigilante and our community youth leaders for their efforts, to ensure the peace of the communities. I must also commend the gallant effort of Austin Emu and his group for fighting cultism in Ndokwa land”.

The Deputy Speaker further disclosed the essence of the Operation Feed Your Neighbour Fund which is to be released by the state government was to ensure security of pipe line installations, supporting the education of the less privileged students in the communities, empower community youths to check vices and criminal activities within the communities and to boost the effectiveness of the vigilante and anti-cult groups.

Rt. Hon Osanebi also stated that the fund will only be assessed by community youth leaders and noted that he’s not ignorant of the accusations and protests by some self-seeking individuals in the guise of protecting what belong to Ndokwa youths. He declared that he is impervious to their scheming’s and false accusations.

“The Security Money is meant for community youths and not diaspora youths, who has no business in the communities and are not recognized by the community elders. I am not deterred and can’t be disturbed by distractors and campaigns of calumny. I will only be bothered if I have any ulterior motives. But my intentions and that of Hon. Ojo and Azuka Azaka are very clear. Youth Pressure Groups should go back to their communities and identify with their community youth leaders and help in securing and ensuring peace in their communities in conjunction with the vigilantes and anti-cult. You can’t eat what belongs to others. Government is concerned with the community youths and not career youths.” He noted.

It Is a Righteous Thing to Focus on Community Youths- Azaka

In his reaction, the member representing Ndokwa West in the Delta State House of Assembly, Hon. Azuka Azaka, noted that the money was never meant for people outside the communities and that the intention of government, Which they are poised at achieving is to ensure that the money trickles down to all youth bodies in the communities in Ndokwa land, no matter how small; and to also strengthen the security apparatus of the same.
He charged protesters to wake up from their slumber and embrace the reality.
Stressing that no amount of distraction will shift their attention from doing the right thing, which is ensuring that the money goes to all community youths in Ndokwa land.
