In a congratulatory message to his former boss, Governor Okowa, on the occasion of his sixty-fourth birthday anniversary celebration, Oghenesivbe expressed his admiration for the former governor’s leadership qualities. The message, which was made available to newsmen in Asaba on Saturday, emphasized Okowa’s significant contributions to the peace, development, and governance of Delta State.
Oghenesivbe highlighted the remarkable achievements of the former governor during his tenure, noting that under Okowa’s leadership, the state experienced an unprecedented level of peace and witnessed remarkable development. He also lauded Okowa’s sense of humor, equity, and good conscience, particularly in sustaining the rotation of power within the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in the state.
As the former Executive Assistant on Communications for six years, Oghenesivbe further expressed his belief that Governor Okowa deserves continuous commendation for his good governance and the completion of numerous legacy projects during his eight-year tenure. He appealed to Okowa’s detractors to embrace peace and unity for the progress and development of the state.
“I respectfully join millions of Nigerians and Deltans to celebrate a national leader, a great Deltan, and former governor of Delta State, Senator Dr Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa, CON, on the occasion of his 64th birthday anniversary celebration,” Oghenesivbe stated.
He continued, “As governor of Delta State, you did your best and it reflected positively in all sectors of the state economy, most especially in the area of socioeconomic development, infrastructure, youth empowerment, and human capital development. Deltans love you irrespective of your unmerited ordeals in the hands of your traducers. We deeply appreciate your numerous achievements and for placing Delta in the forefront of fast-developing enviable states in Nigeria within eight years of your administration.”
Oghenesivbe concluded his message with a prayer for Okowa’s continued success and service to humanity. “As you celebrate today, I pray for you that God Almighty continue to be your helper, your source, and your divine Godfather. I wish you good health, greater wisdom, and longevity as you soar to the mountain top of your political career and service to humanity,” he prayed.
