
ASABA/Nigeria: Delta State is once again in the limelight for a positive reason as one of its finest literary minds, Mr. Stephen Mokuye, a lecturer at Dennis Osadebay University, Asaba, has been nominated for the prestigious 2025 African Christian Authors Book Awards (ACABA). The awards are organised annually by the Christian Literature Communications (CLC), Kenya.
Mokuye earned the nomination for his inspirational 2023 book titled “I Choose To Win: Activate The Winner In You”, which seeks to equip readers with the mindset and tools to unlock their potential and live like the winners they were created to be. The book has received enthusiastic reviews from readers across the world.
An accomplished writer and poet, Mokuye has authored seven books since his debut in 2009. He is also an award-winning poet. One of his notable poems, “Another Telephone Conversation”, was published in 2024 in “Wole Soyinka: The Herald At 90: A Bilingual Collection of Poems and Essays” by the Pan African Writers Association, Ghana, in celebration of Professor Wole Soyinka’s 90th birthday.
The ACABA is designed to recognise, celebrate, and promote excellence in Christian authorship across Africa. This year’s award gala will be held in November 2025.
