WARRI/Nigeria: Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, has praised the Value Rebirth Centre Leadership School for its unwavering commitment to raising a new generation of visionary leaders through quality training and mentorship.
Speaking through the Commissioner for Higher Education, Prof. Nyerhovwo Tonukari, at the 8th Annual Lecture and Graduation Ceremony of the institution in Warri, the governor commended the school’s dedication to equipping young minds with the values, skills, and vision needed to transform society.
Describing the event as “a testament to the hard work and dedication” of students, lecturers, and parents, Oborevwori said the Value Rebirth Centre had become “a veritable hub for grooming leaders of tomorrow.” He reminded the graduands that leadership is not defined by titles or positions, but by “character, vision, and the ability to inspire and influence others,” urging them to stay true to the principles they had learned.
“True leaders are not just born; they are made through dedication, hard work, and a willingness to learn. The knowledge and values you’ve gained here will serve as a strong foundation for your future,” he said.
Prof. Tonukari also commended the management and staff for their tireless work in building capacity for national development, noting that their contribution to leadership growth would leave a lasting impact.
Reaffirming his administration’s commitment to educational excellence, Oborevwori described investment in education as a strategic investment in the state’s future and pledged continued support for initiatives that promote leadership, innovation, and societal transformation.
The governor congratulated the graduating students, urging them to become change-makers, innovators, and problem-solvers, “the kind our world so desperately needs.”
The ceremony, themed around rebirth and renewal, brought together distinguished guests, parents, and community leaders in a celebration of achievement and a reaffirmation of the ongoing journey of personal and leadership growth.
